About Eliora Selwyn™

Welcome to Eliora Selwyn™

Eliora Selwyn™ began with a simple desire: to open Scripture, look carefully at what it says, and invite others to come alongside for the journey.

This is a place for people who want to understand the Bible more deeply—not only familiar passages, but also the history, context, relationships, difficult questions, ancient world, and unfolding events that can help us see Scripture more clearly.

The goal is not to tell you what to think.

It is to encourage you to look, ask, study, test, and return to Scripture.

Scripture Comes First

Everything here begins with the conviction that Scripture is the governing authority.

Historical sources, archaeology, ancient texts, scholarship, current events, and the work of other researchers can provide valuable context. They can illuminate the world surrounding the biblical text and sometimes help us recognize details we might otherwise overlook.

But they do not outrank Scripture.

That distinction matters, especially when exploring subjects where evidence is incomplete, interpretations differ, or speculation can easily be mistaken for fact.

At Eliora Selwyn™, the aim is to distinguish carefully between what Scripture says, what the evidence establishes, what appears plausible, and what remains uncertain.

There is room to investigate without forcing a conclusion.

What You'll Find Here

Eliora has grown into several connected areas of study and exploration.

Biblical Studies looks closely at Scripture, its language, context, people, events, and connections across the biblical record.

Realms & Powers examines the spiritual beings, realms, and powers revealed in Scripture while keeping Scripture—not speculation—as the boundary.

Christian Living considers what following Christ looks like in everyday life.

Faith & Relationships explores the places where faith meets marriage, family, friendship, community, forgiveness, grief, encouragement, and the people God has placed around us.

Current Events watches a rapidly changing world through the framework of Scripture, credible sources, history, and evidence.

Prophecy Watch follows developments with potential prophetic significance while carefully distinguishing between what has happened, what may be developing, and thresholds that have not been crossed.

Archaeology & Ancient Finds examines discoveries connected with the biblical world and ancient history, asking what the evidence actually establishes before drawing conclusions.

Different rooms, but the same foundation.

Why Eliora?

I am not writing from an ivory tower.

I am a student of Scripture who has spent years asking questions, following connections, checking sources, reconsidering assumptions, and discovering how often a familiar passage becomes richer when we slow down long enough to see what is actually there.

Sometimes that means examining a single word.

Sometimes it means following a question across the whole Bible.

Sometimes it means looking at history, archaeology, or events unfolding in the world around us.

And sometimes it simply means sitting quietly with a passage we have read many times and allowing ourselves to see it again.

That spirit of discovery is at the heart of Eliora Selwyn™.

Come Along for the Journey

You do not have to agree with every conclusion presented here.

You are invited to examine the evidence, open your Bible, follow the references, ask questions, and test what you read.

Some investigations will lead to firm conclusions. Others may leave us with possibilities. And sometimes the most faithful answer will simply be:

We do not know yet.

That's okay.

We can watch carefully.

We can research deeply.

We can test everything.

We do not have to force anything.

And through it all, we can keep returning to the One to whom Scripture ultimately points.

Jesus Christ.

Welcome to Eliora Selwyn™.

I'm glad you're here.
